Technology Is Easy. Changing Habits Is Hard.

In one of our most significant transformation projects in fashion retail, where the objective was to digitise and implement Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) across the design-to-delivery process – On paper, the challenge looked straightforward: map the existing processes, digitise them, implement the system and train the teams.

But the real challenge was much deeper.

The existing process had been built over years. People had their own ways of working, their own shortcuts and their own comfort zones. For many, the new system was not simply a technology change—it meant changing behaviours that had become second nature.

This taught us an important lesson:

Transformation is not about implementing a system. It is about helping people let go of the old and trust the new.

The process may be designed in a boardroom, but it is lived by people every day.

That is why change management is not a supporting activity in transformation.

It is the transformation.
